To create a video then you first need to decide what you want the final video to achieve and by doing that you will then know how best to put it together. It the video is to simply be a quick record of something you, your family or friends have done and you want to share it with others then it is a very straight forward task. For the sake of keeping this tutorial short and to the point I will assume that the reason you want the answer to the question: how do you create a video for YouTube? is that it is just for this very reason… to share with others and that the key part of this question is actually “a video for YouTube”.

Many smart phones do come with the ability to upload a video, that you have taken on them, directly to YouTube. I will not go into how to do that in this article but leave that for another day.

I will also assume that you have taken some video and have it stored somewhere on your computer. I will also assume that you are using a Windows PC and not an Apple based computer. I know that many are now using Apple computers and that they are great for working with video as they come preloaded with software that is dedicated to editing and producing video. I am familiar with both systems but because I primarily work on Windows machines I will stick with what I am most familiar. Sound good? Great, let’s get into it.

You actually don’t need any software to upload a video to YouTube as this is usually done once you are in your YouTube account. So the answer to how do you create a video for YouTube is very simple… you actually don’t need to do anything other than shoot the video, upload it to your computer to a folder you are have labeled and can find easily again. Don’t do what I have done in the past. I’ve created a new folder and then promptly forgotten where it is. It’s a good idea to record the folder name and location on a scrap piece of paper until you are SURE you know where it is.

When you have connected to the internet go to www.gmail.com and create a new account. You maybe asking: What has Gmail got to do with YouTube? Well Google owns both and once you have created an account with them you can then access all their internet properties using the same user name and password. When you have logged into your Gmail account click on the YouTube tab that is located at the top of the webpage and you will be taken to the YouTube website. Once there click on the “Upload” link at the top right hand corner of the page. You will be taken to a page that allows you to either Drag’n'drop your video file or select the file by clicking on the “Click the files to upload” arrow and then locating your video file in the window that opens next and clicking the “Open” button once you have selected the right file.

At this stage you maybe wondering isn’t there something else I need to do in preparing my video for upload? Isn’t there something special in creating a video for YouTube? And the answer is no. YouTube’s software takes your video file and prepares it to be displayed and played on their system. There is really nothing special you have to do to create a video for YouTube. In other words YouTube converts all kinds of video files to what their system requires.

So to summarize… how do you create a video for YouTube? The answer is very straight forward. You don’t have to do anything more that shoot the video, upload the file to YouTube from within your YouTube account and you are done. Told you it was easy. Understanding The Terms

If you are completely honest you are probably not that keen on keyword research. It is one of those areas, and I know I have struggled with this myself, that is time consuming and doesn’t give any immediate gratification to help keep you going. It other words it can be hard to stay motivated, motivated to keep doing or motivated to get started in the first place. Let’s face it, research doesn’t have a sexy ring about.

Now while you may struggle to get into keyword research, for whatever reason, you have to remember that it is one of those internet marketing skills that will make or break any online business. You can simply throw up a website and hope that people are going to come. The old saying, “Build it and the people will come” just doesn’t work on the internet. If you are not providing something people are looking for then their mouse will never hover over the pages of your website.

Every successful business on the internet shares one thing in common and that is the ability they have to speak the language of their customers. Keyword research is the most powerful way to learn the language your customers speak and to then create relevant content that they and the search engines will be attracted to.

There are numerous resources on the internet that can provide this information. Resources that either come free or with a small fee, be it either one time or on a subscription basis. I am going to cover these in a future article but if you want to jump ahead and get stuck in now go ahead and hit by blog for links and resources.

To uncover the gold with keyword research you are going to want to become familiar with some of the terms used. In a previous article I revealed that one of the best online keyword research tools: Google Adwords Keyword Tool is free and actually provides a lot of important and useful keyword data. It is something I personally use as one of the steps in my keyword research process. What I want to do here is give a brief explanation of some of the terms used so that research you gather using this tool is the most relevant and in the long term the most profitable.

The Google tool uses the terms: Broad Match, Phrase Match, Exact Match. But what do they mean? Good question right? Let’s take a look at each and see which one is the best choice in your research. This is essential to SEO (search engine optimisation) and to keyword research in general.

Let’s use “iphone 4s” as a random example on which to base our explanation.

Firstly: Broad match. This is the normal or default way of searching in Google. You just type the words in the search box and hit search. No modifications what-so-ever. With this kind of search Google is going to return results, pages that contain our search term, as well as synonyms for those words in random order and spread throughout the page or document found.

So for example my search for “iphone 4s” could return results like:

new iphone 4s

iphone cases for 4s

used iphone 4s that’s been jail broken

iphone sale including the 4s

You will find that search results closest to your search phrase will appear higher up in the results and become less specific as you scroll down. The results further down will start to bring more and more “what the” responses as you read through them.

Secondly: Phrase match. This is where you specify that you only want search results for the phrase as you typed it, words in that order. You will immediately notice the number of results return is considerably less. The search results include all the words in the exact order you entered them but will often include results with some extra words added on.

Thirdly: Exact match. This will give results where the exact keyword phrase only is used. To put it another way, the resulting search volume number will be for the number of people who have typed in the exact same words you are doing your research on.

So which is the best to use? The volume of searches for any given keyword is definitely a very important factor to consider and the answer is: you must always look at the “exact match” search volume numbers. Only these numbers give a true estimate of how many people are interested in that specific keyword. Building content around the “exact match” keyword is where the gold is to be found.

If you don’t have it already get a good virus protection software and use it 100% of the time. To do otherwise is to risk your business and to risk the computers of the people you work with.

Surfing The Net

Use a current version of web browser to surf the net. Moving around on the net and having an optimal viewing experience is also part of being successful. I recommend FireFox, though Internet Explorer and Google Chrome have recently made some changes that make them almost as good. Even the most technologically advanced sites are geared towards being viewed with these.

VOIP Is Here

Get your computer ready to do the talking… if you don’t have a microphone or headset microphone combo for your computer you should consider investing. Online voice communication is cost effective and main online team training rooms utilize VOIP for team trainings. Of course Skype is also another big communication tool to add to your arsenal. Other programs and computer systems do give you the ability now to interact with other people individually or in groups. Facebook just added this functionality to their website and you can also make use of Yahoo and Windows instant messenger platforms. Most laptop computers now come with built in microphones, speakers and a camera so you don’t absolutely have to have a headset though the quality of the microphone in particular will be better. You may also want to look at the use of speech-to-text software as it can get tiresome doing a lot of typing and maybe you aren’t so good at it anyway…. two finger tap typing sound familiar? Windows PC come with speech recognition software as part of the system, it just has to be started and some settings configured so you can use it on a regular basis. Macs also have a similar feature that comes as part of OSX but I am not familiar with it at this stage but imagine it is fairly similar.

Promote Yourself

When marketing online it’s best if you promote yourself, so you’ll need to create your own identity. One of the easiest ways is by having your own domain name. There are numerous services you can purchase a domain name from. Once you have a domain name you will want to create your own website and for this you will require a website hosting account. Really right at the beginning it’s vitally important to make up your mind that no matter what, no matter how long it takes, you are not going to give into the discouragements and the set-backs, you are never ever going to quit. But as we have already mentioned many, no most, people walk away defeated before they ever even start. So make a decision right at the outset – I’m not going to quit.

The next most important thing that you absolutely must do is focus. When you have decided to promote a certain company, and obviously choose wisely, you need to be committed to that company no matter what others might say or what other attractive offers may come along. Be 100% focused and consistent. A lot of people in the MLM industry are what we call entrepreneurs, serial entrepreneurs, and are usually always looking for the next big thing and move on before they can get any real traction in the business they are already in. It is important to keep in mind that being an entrepreneur is important so is controlling the urge to seek out and explore new things. Keep the love alive for what you choose to work with initially at least until you’ve reached the level of results and income that you had initially hoped for.

Thirdly you have got to be committed to on going education. Especially if you are building your business on the internet. The rate at which techniques come and go you have got to be learning all the time. Make sure you do it in an efficient and cost effective way. There are a miriad of techniques on the internet to get proficient at. Choose one initially until you get proficient at it and then move on and add another skill to your reprotoire. If you choose to learn PPC, do that and get good at it. If you choose article marketing learn that until you can drive traffic to whatever offer you put on the net. Be committed to your education and do it one skill at a time.

My fourth and final point today is this…. you have got to have that most important ingredient of all…. passion. There are many companies, opportunities and products to choose from but make sure that you choose one that you are passionate about. If you are passionate about it many of the obstacles that will come your way will seem insignificant and you’ll over come them. May not always be easy, but you will, if the passion is there. If you are not doing something now that ignites your passion then find something that does and stick with it for the long term.

After spending the last 2 years, almost, searching for and trialing many different themes and theme providers out there I have come to love Elegant Themes. Not only do they have a wide range of themes to choose from they come at a very affordable price. So today I am going to review Elegant Themes their products and services in this short article.

First question, are the themes from Elegant Themes any good?

That’s easy to answer in just one word: yes. The graphic designers working on the Elegant Themes are top notch and most would be competition winners in any event. The simply look fantastic and generally are well laid out and easy to use.

The themes not only look great but the stuff you find behind the scenes so to speak is amazing. Each theme comes with an easy to use ePanel (think customization control panel) where you can tweak the theme you have purchased to your personal requirements. You can alter the themes appearance, it’s colour theme, whether or not to show certain features or not, control menus, setup things like Adsense and adjust SEO factors to optimize your site for your chosen keywords and niche.

The themes are generally fairly graphic dense but that does not seem to slow their loading times down to any significant degree and some aspects of the theme can be turned on and off if required – like the slider on the home page if it is supported by the theme you are working on.

It should be noted that if you are thinking of generating income from Adsense ads you might want to think again about using an Elegant Theme. It is generally accepted on the internet that ugly sites are the ones that work best for Adsense. Elegant Themes are too good looking for that kind of thing so you might want to look elsewhere if that is the monetization strategy you want to employ.
The Elegant Themes, though designed to work on the WordPress CMS platform, don’t generally look like blogs. Each theme does come with a blogging page but usually when you arrive on the home page you would be forgiven for thinking you were on a website built using HTML or some other static website building code. The way Elegant Themes works is this. You can not buy any one theme as a stand alone product. You purchase an annual membership and you get access to all the themes in their portfolio for that subscription period. Hard to believe I know. Amazing value and what’s more amazing is it only costs $39 US per year.

You will probably know if you have been doing any research at all on the internet for premium WordPress themes is that the normal price for just one theme is more than the annual membership price at Elegant Themes. For example a popular theme called The Thesis Theme for WordPress sells for $87 and that is for one site install only. Elegant Themes can be installed multiple times.

Another competitor to Elegant Themes is Woo Themes and they sell a complete annual package as well where you get access to all their themes but that costs: $125 per year or $20 a month and that’s just for their basic plan. They do have other options of course.

Just so you know, I wasn’t just convinced to use Elegant Themes based on the price point. Their customer service in the whole time I have been using them has been the best. I get replies within a day and sometimes within hours. Probably the time difference between me and their support staff has something to do with that.

They also have a great forum where you can search for answers to any problems you might be facing as others may have already encountered them and left details on the forum for future visitors like yourself. Hope you have gained something from this Elegant Themes review.

3. Once the results appear you are able to export and save them as a CSV file that you can open on your computer later to go over and select the best words or phrases to help you create relevant content. You may not want to save all the keywords that a found for you so just select the ones you want by clicking the boxes beside them. I generally find though that it is easier to just save the whole lot and sort them later once you have opened the file inside of a program like Excel. Much easier.

Some people are of the opinion that Google keyword research must be of little value because of the fact that it is free. But that is not true at all.
